Ok ive got a 99 cavalier , and ive got the HVAC at the top and the CD DEck underneath .. Is it possible for me to switch them , meaning CD Deck on top , hvac on bottom , ive noticed in sunfires thats how it is ... ? Any answers greatly app. i mean i can try myself but im asking just incase i cant do it and its effin cold out to be takin the dash off without knowing !!!

i did it. and never will again. i had to cut away alot of plastic and i also had to cut a big chunk of the metal brace behind the dash also. not worth it if your dash is in good condition.

Easiest way is to get a donor car and swap everything from the drivers seat forward.

Donor car being a 00-05 Cavalier (In 00-05 Cavaliers the HVAC is on the bottom and the stereo deck is on top) or a Sunfire.

tried this last weekend, extremely not worth it bout killed me just trying to get the plugs off the hvac plugs off.

totally not worth it, unless your dash is cracked up by the windshield. The dash is different as others have said. If its to keep you drink from getting in the road, It still is in the way on the newer ones, just in the way of the heat and a/c controls instead of the radio. That part of the car must have been designed on a friday afternoon.

Sweet , would love to do this , how hard is it to bolt on a new dash my car is a 99 4 door cav , so u said a 00+05 right ? and would it have to be a 2 or 4 door or either or ...

2 and 4 door are the same dash, the only difference is whether the radio is on top or bottom.
