will the 2.2 intermediate shaft bolt to the 3400? im asuming it will because there are no posts of people having problems but i wanted to make sure.
I'm not real sure on that one. I think the 2nd gen guys use the one from their 3.1's on it. But I'm not sure if they have to drill and tap the block or anything. Also, i'm not sure how much power that intermediate shaft is supposed to hold. I think most of us around here just use the 1 piece axle on the pass. side. I know I do. So if it won't bolt up, just get the 1 piece axle and use it.
ok yea i couldent find wat you guys were using. wat axel are you using another year cav or a grand am..., the 97 i pulled the motor and tranny from for my swap had a intermediate shaft.
95-99 j body with a 2.2 5 spd.
Some cars do, some cars don't have that shaft. You should be able to find one somewhere that has the one piece axle. Either that, or you can probably order one at the parts store.
