ok the problem im having is with bleeding the system i had a thermostat go bad on me and i put a new one in and the system wont bleed but i can bleed it with out one in there now i have tried over and over again and read the repair manuals and still wont work maybe one of you guys my know whats up not having heat sucks in winter O by the way its 96 2.2 auto
Take the cap off and let the car get to operating temp and let the thermostat open. Also make sure to jack up the car so that the opening on your resivoir is the highest point(higher than the engine).
sometimes reving it up when its at operating temp helps too i would say 2500rpm MAX should do it

never tryed to jack it up
You could use an aspirin in the stat to hold it open, then fill it up, and as the coolant moves through the system the aspirin dissolves
turned out to be the head gasket it was the original from 96
