aw crap,,,,, that could also be an A/C pressure switch plug. They are very similar plugs depending on year.

No, the coolant temp sensor is on the other side of the motor and is always a one or 2 wire plug.

That I believe goes on the AC compressor..

i don't think so. ac should be 2 wires and flat plug. no its for the ac high/low pressure sensor. right under the radiator support. if you don't have the lines hooked up you might not find it.

just for reference
coolant, a/c pressure switch , and Throttle position sensor take that same plug, maybe not on that year and model but have been used in the past. most of the time wire length determines at first which goes where. Sounds like you have determined that its the a/c switch.

yes i figured it out by walking out to my car, popped the hood, and looked in the same location as his picture to find what it plugged into. that way he wasn't checking 10 different locations. and thanks for pointing out that they used the same plugs for others stuff. i originally thought the same thing of it might of been the tps being thats what older gm motors used including the 2.4, but the eco takes a totally different one. but i thought i would still check for him. i thinking he might get a CEL from it but i'm not sure.
