How serious is an oil cooler line leak ???? I was told today while I was getting my oil changed that the cooler line has a leak. Is this a costly repair ???
What engine? Im pretty sure the person who changed your oil didnt know what he was talking about.

yeah i dont think any j has an oil cooler they might have meant trans cooler

My Sunfire has the 2.2 Ecotec engine.
It could be that they meant the transmission cooler line. If so, how easy is it to fix that problem ??
Is the line an expensive part ?

An oil cooler line leak is a lot more serious on a car that has an oil cooler. On one that doesn't have one (like a j-body) it's nothing to worry about. I would suggest taking the car to a more reputable, more knowledgeable shop next time to get the oil changed. See what they say.
