looking for the right direction

well here is some pictures to see what im starting with

My plans are to make this some what sporty and more fun to drive then it already is, but with the couple houndred extra pounds in the trunk I dont think ill be going to the track without a turbo
I am curious although I see SHOoff with his 3.4 and like that idea, or to swap in a 2.4 eco, im really not sure what way to go. It is a 5speed and its fairly quick for a 2.2 bit I want more out of it, Infact the closer to my old mazda the better but yeah, I know the 2.2 isnt a powerhouse but id like to hear what people think are worthy mods untill I find a swap motor. I dont wanna dump alot into it if I do swap, or maybe I keep the 2.2 just cause they go forever. I hope you can see how hard of a time I am having finding a proper direction to go. Regardless, I want the most bang for the buck, so all you penny pinches i call on you for your tried and tested mods.

BTW rust add's +10HP

Thats not going to happen unless you have deep pockets, but im pretty sure you meant the 2.4 quad 4(LD9). The LD9 would be possible.

Well the first thing would be to take out the second unfinished sub box. Then remove the dealer rice on the side, aka "Z22". Get some wheels, exhaust, body kit of your choosing and some suspension upgrades. Theres cheap ways to upgrade things, but your best bet is to look for quality parts for a deal. BTW clean the damn thing too, looks very dirty.

Also should have added, some kind of intake, and an ign upgrade (coils, wires, better plugs. And a seafoam treatment wouldnt hurt. That stuff should get you going a bit better.

LOL at the blacked out number on the truck. I get a kick out of how many people on here black out plates, too. Anything that's on the outside of your car is public. It's not like hundreds of people a day don't see your license plates. Also, a truck with a logo and a phone number, website, etc. is for advertising, so why hide that?

The car definitely needs some cleanup work, but it looks like a decent base to start with.
