I just got some issue here, I got a manual 99 z24 Cavalier runs good and everything i noticed days later that EGR was missing but no check engine light, ran it against another stock 97 z24 automatic and my brother beat my car by alot and thats were i noticed my car didint run all that good looks like it bogs down a little on second gear and takes a while to pick up what seems to be happening here i thought i had better chances in winning since mine is manual, what can i do?

dont worry about the egr, it isnt supposed to be there.

If im not mistaken.... 99 2.4's never came with egr's so it isnt missing.

Its funny that you didn't notice anything wrong until you lost a race though.... An auto will easily beat a manual if the driver of the manual doesnt know how to race it correctly.

Not that I'm trying to trash talk ya or anything.... it just sounds like whats going on to me.

If it's not running well.... whats it doing?
