I know that the newer 98+ 2200s have a lower compression head design with higher compression pistons. What are the other differences between the older 2.2 (like 95-97) and the 98+ 2200? Is the bellhousing bolt pattern different on the newer cars? I was also told that sensor locations were changed. How much of this is true? I tried searching for answers but didnt find anything too conclusive. THANKS!
belhousing never changed 00+ they went with a stronger trans but the 2.2 & 2200 have the same belhousing a bunch of stuff changed from the 97 style to the 98 style there swapable just there is a couple things i think that have to be done do a search for it and see what you come up with there was good debate awhile ago about it. its been awhile since i have had to use 2.2 knowledge so i forgot some to make room for 3800 stuff damn brain
