We can get my car to start but it will die right after. Its getting lots of fuel pressure we checked that.We think it might be the anti theft thing I read about does that make any sense to you guys?was hoping you could shed some light on us
well I guess it can't be the anti theft because we had it started. We are going to keep tinkering around and will get it aventually hopefully,Just trying to see if someone could narrow it down.I know did'nt give alot of info but that's all I really know,It will start but quit after a few seconds.Sounds awsome for those few seconds though hahah.its a 3400 out of a 01 impala if that helps
You either need to wire in the BCM or use HPT/DHP to bypass the theft lock
If it only runs a few seconds at a time, that's more than likely the culprit

hmm so it would start I figured it would'nt start at all,So I need a tuning program because I don't have one
LOL
BCM is pretty easy and is far cheaper than a tuning program...
8 or 10 wires and that's it. Can tuck the module under the dash. Only 1 wire needs to go to the PCM, the class 2 serial data wire. The rest can be obtained from the cluster harness.
C1 plug
A8-Ignition 0 voltage, ppl, to 10a fuse hot in acc, on or start. goes to pin b9 left IP fuse block grand am (1600)
B8-battery pos voltage, brn , to 10a fuse hot in run, goes to rt ip fuse block grand am(341)
C2 plug
A6-security sensor low, blk, (passlock gnd) pin b of passlock cylinder(1835)
B6-security systen sensor signal, yel, (passlock signal) pin b of passlock cylinder(1836)
B9-ignition 3 voltage, pink, to 10a fuse hot in on or start, goes to underhood fuse block, C4plug, C3pin(439)
C3 plug
A10-Ground, blk/wht, rounded at the left side of the dash, ground # G202 (151)
A12-Battery positive voltage, org, 10a fuse hot all times, rt ip fuse block grand am(340)
B1-battery fuse voltage, org, 10a fuse hot all times left Ip fuse block ga(1540)
B2-class 2 serial, ppl, to computer data lines. (attach it any where in the data system)(1807)
B4-security system sensor supply voltage, wht, (passlock b+) to pin c of passlock cylinder(1459)

okay he knew exactly what you were talking about appreciate the help alot man.Hopefully this is the problem.Hes going to check something do you have a IM of somesort incase of a problem LOL
You lead him on a good path he thinks he can figure it out no problem now thanks a ton man
No problem. I had to do the same thing since for whatever reason the passlock bypass wasn't working on my PCM
Is it working yet? If not it sounds exactly like my problem. Try bypassing the fuel pump relay to keep it on and see if it stays running.

it wont i had the same problem it kills injector pulse
my kill list:a geo metro and a mac semi wow did i kill that thing
Yeah we got it working I'm PUMPED haha,Thanks alot everyone who helped pics are on my car domain page and are way at the bottom,They are pretty crappy pics I work like 50+ a week,So it's hard to be down there to get good ones,I'm taking a few more for the after pics to show you what we did with mounts and stuff,He used a chevy half ton tranny mount I guess and some bracket on the left side.I helped him with whatever I could when not working. How are you guys running CAI?Rigging the MAF into thethe piping with a rubber gromit?I see yours mikie on the stock hose,Did you just take out the screen? And whats everyone running for headers if they are, seen a post on here a while ago someone posted for 3400 Grand AM headers,Think they were like 495 bucks would they work at all? Thanks
i just put a filter on the stock hose that all

Got to love these v6 swaps.. best thing I ever did with my cavalier... v6 swap is actually the only thing that made me keep the car..

im a little confused are u talkin about installing a grand am bcm or a 2000+ cav pcm? and if u wire it in u dont have to delete pass lock? i thought if u got the corret resister used wen they install a remote car starter it eliminated it?
I used the impala bcm and ignition switch to bypass it not that it matters it works. Most likely better ways of doing it ,tuning being one but needed car and don't have money yet
Z34 cavy -3400 Swapped
the resistors your talking about go to a module and that sends a voltage reference to the ecm but that has nothing to do with this swap as it is passlock and is in the bcm
my kill list:a geo metro and a mac semi wow did i kill that thing
well my car is a 99 and i dont think i have a bcm do u think its worth it to put one in or should i just send my ecm out to get pass lock removed or wat
