So, we race cavalier street stocks. I Here is my situation:

I have a solid 98, 2200, auto just taken off the road with all electronics working. I race a 96 2.2 5 speed. I removed the engine and tranny from the 98 and sold the 2200 to a guy for another race car. Im gonna put my 2.2/5 speed in the 98. Keep in mind we dont care about anything other than performance/runnability issues. This doesnt need to be perfect outside from how it runs. Will the 2200 ECU/wiring harness be able to play nice with the 2.2 engine? My other option is to change the entire harness and ecu out of the 96 and put it in the 98. I'd prefer to not mess around with all that though. I keep getting mixed info about the differences between the engines and ecu's. Someone PLEASE help me clear this up. Im pretty good with electronics but it seems a lot easier to just ask someone that knows and learn from other's mistakes than to jump right in.
