hi everyone..my mechanic told me that the LD9 has sometime problems with the timing chain tensioner...i would really appreciate your help

I have had no problems with mine What is the problem you are having?

Why are people always saying "my mechanic says this engine is known for having this problem"....

First of all..... The words "my mechanic" will never come out of my mouth unless I own a race team some day.

Secondly.... Every engine has its quirks.... LD9's have poorly placed ignition systems and the oil pump isnt the best in the world.... but theres no gremlins that the LD9 really has.... Now if your mechanic said ford Tauruses like to blow up transmissions.... I would agree with that.

He's filling ya full of crap probably because he had a bad experience with a car with a LD9 in it once....

Are you having problems or is a mechanic just bad mouthing the engine?
