Well engine is almost built and the last thing to be put on was the balance shafts and stuff. the machine shop said i need a new one . the shaft where the oil pump bolts on is messed up !. But i cant find the blance shafts anywhere online i didnt want to have to go to the dealer and spend 1000 dollars lol but let me know if any one has some laying around that they would want to sell . By the way it is 1997 z24 cavalier

if its at the machine shop why not do a 2.3 oil pump conversion and delete the balance shaft get some more hp. idk ur situation just a sugestion.
Even if you don't do the oil pump conversion... at least get rid of the shafts while you're in there. It's well worth it while it's apart...
well how do you exactly get rid of the shafts and keep the oil pump .? i would do that if i new how that worked .
Got me.. I've never done it, but I know people on here years ago used to delete the balance shafts long before they ever figured out how to stuff the 2.3L oil pump in there... so there's got to be threads on here somewhere.
