I understand they are 2 different cars, doesn't mean that they won't fit onto each other.

I understand if it's frustrating and I did try to ask other sources first, but I was never able to get a good stable answer. Thank you for your help, the only reason why I'm even interested is I don't particularly like the cavalier steering wheels (they seem too big and bulky) and that I figured one from a cobalt may fit with a certain kit that changes the harness or something. Thanks for your help anyways.
If you were to swap the steering column from a 03-05, it might fit. You'd have to figure out the horn and airbag wiring though.
If you are just looking for a diffrent wheel. A lot of N body stuff is interchangeable maybe look into those, wouldnt suprise me if one of there steering wheels shared the same splines. I dont know if they are any less bulky or not tho.
n body in the 96-98 range use the same wheel say grand am it uses a sunfire wheel

GM used the same spline shaft on a ton of cars back to the 60's. It seems like any new platform starting around 04/05 went to more teeth. GTO, Cobalt, Solstice, etc.
