Two items looking for answers -
1- Son has a 2000 Z24 5sp; the exhaust is near ready for replacement - car has 115,000 miles, is totally stock and runs like a champ. We are looking for a "bolt on" (don't have a welder and wouldn't know how to use it if we bought one!) What is a good exhaust to put on that's not too difficult and uses regular hand tools to install? Is there such a beast? Funds are not an issue but don't want to spend too much; always looking for a way to save. With 115K, I will probably replace CAT and O2 sensors while under there. Of couse my 17yo son wants it to sound good.
2- Bought the Haynes repair manual which is fantastic if you have a Cav with a 2.2; all the pics and most instructions are geared toward the non-Z24 model. Please let me know the best manual out there for the Z24 particularly covering the 2000 model. If someone has one available in paper or digital format I am willing to pay for it (reasonable of course) can send $ using PP. Have checked Ebay but most feedback from Cav owners state their product(s) are generic in nature.
Thanks in Advance, Pete
i just put dual flowmasters on a sunfire, sounds good, i need a cat done also but thats for later
with the flowmaster u get a low tone, and its fairly loud
most cavs with either boom tubes or cheap mufflers aka Canadian tire brand stuff usually sounds ok lol

No.
Contact Atomic or Hypsy(they are on this site) and tell them what you are looking for. They will be able to take care of you.
For a repair manual, the one you have should be fine. The main difference between the Z/24 and base is the drivetrain.
