engine noise
wtf is that noise??
it happen today while i was driving about a 100 km/h on the highway
its been 2 weeks now that took out the car from the garage...
what i did to the engine while rebuilding:
i didnt open the bottom end
i did every seal and gasket(exept for internal bottom end)
new timing chain
new timing chain guide
new timing chain housing
new crank pulley
new valve seal
new water pump
when i opened the engine the first time every thing looked fine
but now after 2 weeks of driving it and not even a 100km put to it
it make that f@#$% noise.
its a 2.3l quad 4 so is there a engine guru that can tell me aproximetly what
is that noise???

Check the timing chain tensioner and just hope it isn't the good ole' #3 bearing.

Still a possibility
From the video, Sounds like the tensioner or rod bearing.
i just really really hope its just the tensioner...
when a rod bearing break while driving its not supose too do any damage to the engine???

i know how to check for the tensioner and the bearing too

well since it only makes the noise when u step on it im assuming its the chain cuz when my rod bearing went out it knocked at idle and thats on all 3 of my cars lol but yeah just hope for the best
*****BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL*****
Timing chain or lifters.....Doesn't sound like a rod knock to me.

if it didnt look metalic then your bearings are fine, if theres something shinny in there its almost always bearing
Get a stethoscope, and try to pin point where the noise is coming from,my bearing didn't sound that thick more of a tap,but my # 3 was half ate up,so if yours is a bearing, its gotta be a bearing really tore up. But if you just messed with the timing the tensioner might be to blame,so look there first.
