Engine swap question
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 9:23 AM
I have a 1997 2.4 with a manual transmission. The motor has some issues. I can buy an engine form a 1998 with an automatic that is a 2.4. Will the motor go in with no other issues. Or is there other items I need to be aware of.

Thanks
Gerry

It will never fit.

Wow am I lucky. I do have the seat belts I guess it will fit. But Honestly I did not want to upset anyone by asking questions. I did not realize that some people would be that uptight about answering question and helping out. I guess this forum is for only special people that have all the information that is ever needed. No worry no more questions from me I will just search and if I find it good if not ill ask people who do not mind helping others. It is a sad world we live in if it is an issue to help others. Shame on those of us who may be new to this site.

want people to be nice to you? stick to the newbie's forum. when you venture out, we expect you to have read all the stickies in said forum. if you had, you would have realized that answers to questions like this have been asked before, and are a single search away.

in summation: the newbies forum, it's there for a reason.

Nice not at all. Why in the world would anyone think that. Just do not understand people being such a$$s. I would expect that from the import sites. Not that it matters to anyone but I did search. But being such a stupid newbie I guess I did not find my answer. I just wish we all could be so smart to know everything from the get go. Some people are lucky to be born with all the correct information.
