if you press on the bezel the odo is perfect, let it go and the numbers blink

I have the same problem. Also comes and goes with bumps in the road and such. It started not too long after I took out the gauge/stereo panel to paint it. Im guessing its just a loose wire. Since its just the odo display I havent bothered to take the panel back off and check the wires.
