ignition coil / 24x crank sensor question (help!!)
Monday, November 16, 2009 11:05 AM
im nearly finished my 3400 swap into my 97 cav, i own hp tuners and have it working properly. i have everything wired up, my fuel pump and everything else in the car is working. i had the starter turning the engine over but it didnt start. after this i had a look around and realized that the 3 pin connector for the ignition coils (the one on the back of the plate on the drivers side) wasnt plugged in. and i cant find it anywhere . ive studied my wiring diagrams and searched everywhere and i cant find it. i know i didnt cut it off because when i scrapped the donor car i had everything tagged for when i put it back together. im assuming the car will not even start with that plug not plugged in right? and also i have the same problem with the 24x crank sensor. the sensor side of the plug is there but the engine harness side is nowhere to be found. once again i studied my wiring diagrams and could not even find the wire colors for the connector im looking for. these are the only 2 problems i have so far, i can get pictures if anyone needs them. any help or info would be great as i am very anxious to get the car started just to see what it sounds like lol. thanks

the sensor is a yellow and a purple wire that go from the sensor to the passanger side of the icm. its seperate from the rest of the harness so u can just grab one from the jy really easy. and ill have to check for the other connector i have it at home.
