You need to completely strip both cars and put everything from the 04 into the sunfire(engine, tranny, every wiring harness, dash, shifter, etc.)

You cannot swap heads because both engines are completely different.

LOL. Just because the two engines have the same displacement doesn't mean there is anything compatible between them.

As Tinkles said, you pretty much need to gut your car in and out of all electrical, and swap over everything from the 04.

yeah right i call BS on that if the 3400 head will bolt on to a 3100 and a 3800sc head will bolt onto a 3800NA then a 2.2 eco head should bolt onto a 95 2.2L,

ah but you are wrong, the 95-02 2.2L engines are OHV, the 2.2 eco-tech is twin cam(or DOHC whatever floats yer boat) just like the 2.4L

Not if you know the subject matter and the author of the post. Also, the majority of the humor in a good sarcastic statement is the appearance of seriousness.

Seriously, the author has a L67 3rd gen. You HAVE to know your @!#$ to do that swap. Not to mention he joined in 01 and posts regularly.

95-99 do not have a BCM which 2000+ do and the eco requires to run.

couldn't you just put the BCM in? i mean if you have the know how to swap everything else you should know how to do that

Re: 95 Sunfire Ecotec Swap

That's why you have to rewire the car(to install a BCM), all the wiring harness are interconnected.

According to dictionary.com, if you spell it "damn it" it is 2 words, but if you spell it "dammit" it is one word, so I guess either is OK.

I love when someone post the question for the 100th time, and instead of people freaking out it gets funny. Very entertaining post
