I have a 2000 cav with the 2.2 non ecotec motor. I just sold my turbo kit and am now going to buy a new engine for it. Im just wondering how many miles can be put on the engine before major problems start happening because i want to build up the new engine before i put it in. The car has around 162000 on it as of now. Thanks
im not sure on the difference between miles and kilometers, but i got 260000 km's on my 2200 and it runs like a champ
Ah... Mine has 255K on it. Miles. Blew the headgasket and timing chain slipped 90* about 5K miles ago, but that's been it since I've owned it (240K). As far as I know, the motor and tranny are original. Previous owner (140K-240k) just had the headgasket done at some point, and wheel bearings.
2000 Ford F-250 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4 - Not stock
1973 16' Tahiti Speedboat
1983 200 HP Mercury BlackMax
1997 Chevy Cavalier with 275K miles
I had my head gasket go at 160k and then did the performance rebuild on it and couldn't be happier but i beat the heck out of that poor 2.2 OHV before but now that ive built it up i only beat on it when its necessary
