I'm planning on doing the work with my father in law and had a few questions.
What parts do people suggest replacing along with the the chains guides both tensioners and the updated chain oiler and all gears? What gaskets can be reused? I have never opened my engine so I don't know if they all could be reused. Also do I have to set my engine to TDC before I remove the valve cover and timing cover? Also what's the easiest way remove the crank pulley? I'm planning on taking pictures to add to a how to if someone would like them after I'm done. How do you keep the cams from moving along with the crank after the chains have been removed and if they do how do you know they are in the correct place? Thanks a ton in advance.

Why exactly are you tearing it apart?
I know you need to pull the valve cover off and then turn the motor over to line up the timing marks.
FU Tuning
I have to replace the timing parts as I have an early year ecotec with the poor timing chain oiler and bad tensioners.

Also what is the best torque wrench for size to use?
