Well ive searched around here and google and not really found a solid answer. The manual states 9.5 quarts for "complete overhaul." I simply want to drain the filter and change the fluid. Who has does it or has a solid answer? Looking to do it tomorrow hopefully. Thanks
"based on complete tea rdown and rebuild" Did you read my first post?

Then you obviously never looked at one because it has the answer you need in it. It has all the specs & fluid quanities for each engine/transmission.

I would if I knew off hand, and I have a manual trans anyways... You don't even have to buy the book... just go to an autoparts store and look it up, lol. However if you are doing work on your own car, I always like to have one of these available for looking random things up, like torque specs/spark plug gap/fluid quantity, etc.. I have one for both my Cobalt & Cavy.
everything else is pretty readily available online.. Ive owned 3 cavaliers, they have all been Z24's thought i was pass the cavalier phase and just picked up an 03 for a daily driver, so im pretty new to the ecotec. If anyone has the information off hand would be greatly appreciated thanks!
