Ok simple question guys. I got a 95 Cavy with a 2.2 and manual trans just wondering if I need to drop the sub frame, motor and tranny. or is there enough room to slide the engine off the input shaft thus pulling it thru the top of the little beast lol
Honda's are like tampons, Every PU$$Y has one!!!
you can remove an LN2 without the trans but it's a lot more of a pain in the ass than just pulling it with the trans. It was hard to get them seperated in the engine bay... and I ended up pulling the trans out right after so I could drop them back in together anyways. I personally would just pull them together.
Leave the transmission in. Its tight but it will come out and save you a lot of hassle. I left my trans in even when I put the v6 in. Also helps if you jack the trans up a little and get it on an angle. It comes out pretty easy. Pull that hood of too.

it is possible depends what your doin if your doin a swap pull the trans if your just replacing the motor with the same thing leave it in
when pulling the motor have a jack under the trans jack it up as the egine goes up or elsewhen the engine lets go the trans will slam back down and could be very bad
i have always left them in except my swap and thats cause i had to pull it

I have pulled engine's all sorts of ways in these cars.
Subframe and all is the quickest.
At work we leave the trannies in the car, can be a pain sometimes, but never had one we couldn't get out.
