ok first off its a 98 2.4 with the manual transmission it will idle anywhere from 1k-2k and it wont drop rpms in between shifts it wont go below 2k

where should i start looking im not even sure where all the vacuum lines are in the car
just spray carb cleaner in different spots around your intake manifold, when your idle changes you know you're in the right spot.
