I'm going to be running a oil temp gauge on my 3400 grandam engine. Does anyone here know where I would install the sensor on the engine? Did a quick search on a grandam site and got nothing. I'll try looking somemroe but if someone here could help me out I'd appreciate it.
You might be able to get yourself a little T and run it at the same spot as the pressure sending unit. Would be my best guess to keep from having to drill/tap the block.
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
Thanks for the info. Can anybody confirm that this is the best way to do this? It sounds easy enough but I just want to be sure.
Are you going to be using the oil pressure sending unit? You could put it in place of that or there is also a small plug where the oil filter goes and install the sensor in place of the plug.

^^^^^ thats wat i did for my pressure gauge. i need to use a nipple and a 90 but if its for temp the sending unit is alot smaller.
I agree with both the above statements. You have some options.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I also had similar questions. Is that little plug there on the 94-95 3100's as well?
