earlier i posted the problem that is annoying thread to see y my car was revin up and back down continuously at a stop. so i replaced the idle air control valve and it fixed it for a couple days. well it started back up and it got really bad. so i took it to a garage and had them take a look. turned out the the front strut bar was hitting the sensor and unhooking the sensor. so if you have a problem like this on a cav from 95-99 then this could be why your car is doing this.
I know the IAC only uses two bolts... Is it possible the flip it the other way?

That's why on the 95-97 2.2 cars you use the GM STB. 98+ the TB is moved down so you don't have the problem.
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
Never heard of that problem with it hitting some wiring. Interesting.

im not sure if you can flip it. i never heard of that problem either. it sucks cuz now i have to find a bar that will not interfear with it.
I would try to just flip it around before I bought a new strut bar... but that's just my cheap ass talking.

I bought a cheap strut bar for the womans 95 Cav and it rubbed the harness out so I bought a vert bar from the junk yard. Definately agree with SHOoff, get a vert strut bar.
