Im curious as to wether or not parts are interchangeable from an earlier model... I found a 2001 z24 close by and wanted to pick it up for parts, seeing as I have a 03 base. I wanted to take the body kit off also, is there hope?
I don't see why not.. My car didn't come with rear defrost but it had the wires for it... weird stuff.

are you the original owner? maybe it was broken and was replaced with a cheaper non defrost unit???

Sounds reasonable since I'm in Florida and mine didn't come with it
My 91 VL 2.2 also dosen't have rear defrost which sucks this time of year in IA
I guess its a base model thing as you can get a newer cavy without abs too 2002+ I think
i see non defrost j cars all the time here in central indiana.

i live one state over, my rear defrost has been gone for like 2 years now or so. doesn't bother me one bit. but i use my side mirrors more than the average driver i believe so, that could be y it doesn't bother me. and even if it was working i have 5% tint on the back windows/back windshield so at night it's impossible to see @!#$ as it is.
