hey. i was wondering if someone could help me out here.. i am looking to buy an 01 sunfire from a friend of mine for my younger sister.. it has sat all winter with the battery connected and was dead. put a new battery in it. would crank over but no interior lights, cluster, head lights would work. turned out on of the two main leads that go from the fuse block under the hood thru the firewall was rotted. fixed that now have power everywhere.. anyways the car will prime and start then stall.. been told that the ground block under the battery tray corrodes and may have something to do with it.. i was thinking that maybe the theft detterrent came on and won;t allow the car to run?
any help would be appreciated
Is the theft light blinking when this is going on?
If it is turn the key to on and let it sit till the theft light goes out and it should start an stay running if it's a problem with the theft system.
