I'm working on my setup right now. This was a set of headers that were supposed to be for a Grand Am 3400 with a 4T65 trans but wouldn't clear the shift cable. 2 manifolds and a cross-over pipe. The turbo will be where the battery sits. Will be running a T3/T4 Garrett 65mm turbo, intercooler, Tial 38mm wastegate, Grand Prix 3800 SC injectors and a Walbro 255 fuel pump. I have to finish my new engine harness that will run everything on my pre-00 cluster. I found out that the a 98 Olds Achieva with the 3100 uses UART data for cluster like the 2.2 does and for all the same things. Not sure if the signals will be correct but i'm definately going to find out. This is also a PCM that is tunable with HP tuners.

Same here... I'm keeping all of the factory options on mine. ABS, cruise, A/C and so forth. The only thing I deleted was factory theft system from the pcm.

check out 60degreev6.com and grandamgt>com they both have boosted 3400 members.
Soon-ish, although I will be swapping obd2 for megasquirt. Emissions what?
There is a guy that had a turbo 3400 in a 3rd gen, but I don't remember his name, and he hasn't been around for a couple of years. IIRC, he did a battery relocate and positioned the turbo in that spot. I'm playing with a few different options on mine, but I haven't committed to anything yet.
I have a friend with a Turbo 3400, but it is in a 2nd Gen cav.

Not to thread jack, but I can tell you already that the UART data is not identical. For some foolish reason, they change some of the signals from vehicle to vehicle constantly. Similar to using the 96+ GA computer, you'll end up with one or two things that don't properly function on the cluster. Most likely is the tach.

Yeah thats what i'm afraid of the signals being different. Have you tried this setup in past before Shawn? I definately want to try this setup just out of curiosity, especially if it hasn't been done before because its the closest thing to a Cav for 95-99 that I have found to make the guages all work and possibly check engine light free.
