Been reading the forum for a long time now but finally decided to post. I have a 2004 cavalier. The rear defrost will not defrost. The elements are on the window and the light comes on when you press the defrost button. Any ideas? Thanks for any help

Will do. Could this be a fuse related issue?
I dont think so I have the same issue in my 98 and have checked all the fuses.
Use an electrical tester to see if you are actually getting power to the wires at the back of the window. There is a possibility that there could be a small crack in one of the wires on the window not allowing proper connection.

at least you have one, my 99 didn't even come with that option.
I wish I could find a back window without the defroster crap.
