So my 98 Sunfire has a check engine light on, I tried to connect my scanner to it and it says that it can not connect/not available, I have tried the cig fuse and still nothing any idea's?
I've seen someone post here before about it. They found another fuse that was out, but I can't remember for the life of me what fuse that was. Maybe look through them and see if you find one popped.
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick

you do remember correctly.
check cavity 4 and 5 for ground and 16 for b+
It's dumb I know, but make sure the key is on?
- Your not-so-local, untrained, uncertified, backyard mechanic. But my @!#$ runs
port 16 should be 12volts
4 & 5 are grounds (ohm out 4 to ground and 5 to ground see if its open if it is fix it)
then check to see that your getting 12 Volts on 16
