im aware that there are many other topics already started over this but im to lazy to scroll threw and find them but I recently just bought an 01 2.2 5speed cavalier. I would like to do a swap in order to build a much better performance motor. Im wondering what all will need to be done/purchased in order to swap it to a 2.2 eco, preferable an 07+ eco. Thanks alot. and any other motor sugestions will be taken into considereation if it will drop straight in to the mounts.
So you say you want something for better performance, but are you wanting to stay N/A or go boosted? For a motor swap though you'll definitely need the computer and wiring harness. You could put a LD9 2.4L DOHC motor in instead of eco. I'm sure others will chime in eventually. That search button is very helpfull though.
