Hey guys i am having a little issue with my 1996 Z24... I have recently put a new motor in it out of a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire and the Tach seems to not be working properly... I was wondering if you guys know what to check... At Idle it reads 100 rpm(approx) and it does read higher as i drive or rev the engine... Also i had put a whole new clutch kit in (Clutch, Pressure Plate, Slave Cylinder, Flywheel) also i replaced the master cylinder after the vehicle was running... After i got it running i am still having clutch issues (clutch pedal loses pressure) I am thinking the slave cylinder is bad and i am getting ready to replace it but... while i have the tranny out i want to change the tranny fluid to royal purple... but i was wondering what fluid is recommended for this project...

The fluid needed for the transmission is syncromesh.
Good news is that royal purple has synthetic syncromesh fluid.
