I was wondering what the best way to paint my valve covers and intake piping would be. I'm thinking powder coat, but if you guys can give me a better option, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance,
Dillan
Powder coat is not paint, it's powder coat. If you have the funds to coat them, I would say coat them. If not, you can use engine paint.
.
Lol, sorry man. Just did start getting into automotive mods. Haven't ever powder coated anything. But yeah, I did a little research and good high temp engine paint works just as well.
Thanks for the reply though.
have them prefessionally painted if you like. That what ive done on my W41 and my 3400 hybris that finishing up now. everything cylinder heads up is painted with high temp automotive base clear.
if you are using a 2200 engine you cant powercoat the plastic intake.... if your wanting to paint the intake remove it and scuff it up then use vinal paint...... then clear coat it and it shold be fine
