I'm looking for a good 2.2 Eco engine with low km and in my areas they're a little harder to find and kinda pricy. I'm wondering if I can use an Eco out of another car, let's say a grand am for instance. I know after 05 they switched to computer controlled throttle. But I'm looking for an easy swap something thatll just drop in into my 2000 fire, as it is my daily. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The Eco is used is many gm vehicles I know that, do any drop right in?
Btw iv got a 2000 sunfire sedan 5 speed
I swapped an Eco from a 2005 Saturn Ion. The only differences were the intake cam PS drive and an extra coolant port after the T-stat.
You do have to be careful what year from delta's has the crank trigger wheel is different. Jbody ECU wont run it.
