I just got my engine built by a builder that I no well does lot of big time race engines.
but he never has worked on a ld9 with a 2.3 oil pump swap,
I got the block with the bottom end all ready built with the 2.3 oil pump swap
all the internals or new
eagle rods wiesco pistons all the goodies
when we put the motor in and did the break in everthing was good but when try to go above 2500 rpms
I throw codes 1 crank sencer and 2 cam sencer and it started to make noise from the timing chain cover
so we pulled the motor and after some reading came to think it must be the tensioner so I sent the motor
back to my builder he checked to make sure all the internals and they are all fine he put the new tensioner in and used a drill to spin the oil pump
and still no oil pressure but he notice that there gasket between the pickup and the oil pump(does this matter)
any info on why it want make any oil pressure would been great im sure someone here has had the same problem
