Anyone had this problem? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, and headgasket. The gauge will only get up to 1/4 if I let the car sit and idle.if you drive it the heat will rise with engine load but will quickly drop once the engine isn't under load.
I know these are hard to bleed but I got all the air out, this isn't my first rodeo.
I also noticed the fan comes on at weird times, when the engine is too cold but if I turn it off and start it again the fan isn't on.
Running too cold is better than too hot. U may have used the wrong thermostat or could be in upside down, altho i wouldnt think the temp would read too low. It could be a problem with the guage itself as these cars clusters are junk. Could also be a bad temp sensor or fan relay
