I think most people use Photomatix for combining there pics they use 3 different exposures +2 them 0 the -2 some use +2,+1,0,-1,-2 theres alot of how too's on the next
are you familiar with photoshop? You can go file - automate - merge to HDR, and you get full control of your images.

That's how I do it, then just play with the settings until you find something you like. It's actually pretty easy.. Just a little time consuming at times

Yea Photomatix is pretty good! Alot of people use it, I did for a little.
I now currently use Dynamic HDR which is pretty good and is also a little cheaper than Photomatix and i would have to say is pretty easy to use!

Most of the ones I've done have been with Photoshop CS2. There are a bunch of good writeups on the net.
i think Dynamic HDR is SOO much better
Don't know if this will help anyone, but there is a three part tutorial podcast on iTunes. I can't d/l 'em, so not sure how the quality is....
