Has any body used there bottle going past 110? If so how big of a shot were you running.

Really? How did you know you were going 150 MPH? IN 5th gear I would assume correct? When you have your VSS cut.. does your speedo go crazy when you hit a X RPM while in gear? Reaosn why I ask... when I am in 5th gear with the VSS cut... at about 3400 RPM apx 93 MPH the speedo starts going crazy... goes from 0 to 50 and back then from like 60 to 100 and back and such... just plays back and forth... then at about 4600 RPM in 5th gear apx 121 MPH.. the car cuts out again...

well when I have went over 120 was when my friend was in his gsr civic hatch he has a speedo that reads up to 140 -160 mph cant remember one of the two for sure.He said we were going 137 when he last checked probably 2-3 seconds later we had to shut it down.
I dont have my speedo cut just unplugged. I t just sets there on zero the hole time. It never cuts out...............
My speedo just dies, so I read the tach and do the math. 6000 rpm = 156 mph with the stock 5 speed, but I did this run with the gears from the 2.2, where 6000 rpm = 164 mph. I had it up to just over 5500 rpm, or just over 150 mph.

karo... your cluster must be haunted. and if one of us really wanted, couldnt we just put in an autometer speedo straight to the VSS so we could cut the limiter and still see speed up to xxx miles per hour?
Ehh, I would be scared to go that fast in a cavalier. Too light. I was going through Texas in my Talon and I had it up to 128 (speedo stops at 160 governed to 145) and I could feel it float over spall hills. Thats when I flew past a Texas state trooper.

My speedo went crazy too for like 5 min on the highway , then my differential exploded lol. (stupid Gm isuzu tranny) Autos for life now.
i dont know about the izuzus but on a getrag the limit is 139 (not taking into acct wind drag), so anyone that tells you they are going faster than 140 with a getrag is full of it unless they have different gears put in, I wont elaberate on it but if you have an understanding of electronics and gps it is possible to reach that 139 and accurately fool the computer without errors and read exactly how fast your going

Karo this is your ecotec correct? For soem reason the Ecotecs will do that with the speed limiter cut. The 2.4's will not.

How do you know this?? I know of a getrag cavalier clocked at 151. it was a turbo ecotec.

What shot were you running?? How did the car run??
I can't remember if I did that on the 75 or 100 shot, but I think it was the 100. Doesn't really matter, because it got up there so quick it leads me to believe it could be done with either size shot.
