So here's the deal.... Just recently bought a 98 2200 Sunfire for use as my everyday car/ beater. It has 130k on it and I can tell its had some head work done. Anyways, I dont want to race this car or anything but its the slowest thing on the streets right now so i went ahead and ordered a cai, header, cat-back exhaust and some upper/lower mounts for now. My question is I have an Nx Wet kit from a friends old z24 and i was wondering if anyone has ever blown their 2200 on a 35 wet shot? I've been doing my research on this site and I hear people running 35-100 shots and i think 55 was the lowest shot that ive heard has blown a 2200. Exactly how safe will the 35 shot be?
nitrous is never safe, as soon as you realize that and how important your car is to you.... you'll have your answer
and people wonder what's taken me so long to put the nitrous on my daily driven car that's been sitting in my room for months now
you're taking a risk, and that risk could cost you a lot more money than that nitrous kit cost you and i'm not saying you shouldn't do it.... just don't be pissed when something blows up cause you could go lean, jet it wrong, run rich and wash down the walls, do something stupid electrically, have a solenoid stick open, etc, etc
i will have nitrous on my car one day, but i want to make sure i have the bank roll to fund any mishaps, and better yet.... i'll have a different daily driver lol

I know its not 100% safe. I've been running a 100 shot on my Mustang for 2 years, so I have a little bit of experience with nitrous. Just wondering how the 2200's hold up. I've heard mixed reviews. Besides, the Nx kit was free. The mileage and the fact that the car has had head work done to it bother me a little though. I'm hoping a 35 shot every now and then wont do too much damage. Thanks for the input .
Get it setup right and shel be fine.....youd be fine with a 50 shot if it was set up correctly......
Note: When i say you will be fine........thats not 100% the case all the time lol.

I have had a 50 shot on my car for a yr now. No problems. I drive my car everyday and its runs fine. Set it up right..I have a WOT switch, colder plugs and Nitrous Pressure for the bottle and A/F ratio gauge to watch fuel. Never had a close call yet. Of course its not used everyday, only for "special occasions"!! lol
I ran a 75 shot on my 2200 before I turboed it, no problems at all.... now that was with a Zex kit mind you, so it is only like running a 60 shot or so.
