Zex Plugs

I was wondering if anyone on the bottle was using these type of plugs and if so have they had any problems with them? I have a friend who said he used the quad electrode plugs on his v8 and his motor leaned out bad.

zex plugs are 3 prong, not 4. the only 4 prong i know of is bosch platinum +4 which is one of the absolute worst plugs to run on a car with nitrous or forced induction. platinum and iridium burn extremely hot, which causes detonation.

almost everyone here uses and recommends ngk tr6 or autolite 103 (both copper core plugs) including myself so i couldnt tell ya if zex ones are decent.

I am aware that the zex plugs are 3 not four I put them in and out of my car. I was simply stating that my buddy used a mutiple electrode spark plug and he leaned his motor out. Damn I guess I was the only idiot to buy plugs from them.

Are the Tr6's pretty pricey?

Thanks

not at all. they are about $1.70 at advance autoparts...and many other places. waaay cheaper than zex

your friends detonation didnt occur because of multiple ground prongs, it occurred because the plugs were most likely platinum or iridium. zex plugs arent platinum or iridium. you might be fine. just check them after you spray a couple runs.
