Has anyone on here used this kit? what are you guys thoughts on it?

I am thinking about buying it for my 1998 2.4, this is my daily driver and has to stay reliable, this kit looks pretty reasonable to me.

I had the VCN-2000. With the system monitoring your air/fuel ratio and shutting the system off if you lean out is nice. However it still does not make it completely idiot proof. You can still kill your engine with any nitrous syetem.

What is the difference between the VCN-2000 and VCN-1000

I am also debating on picking up this kit..

Anyone that replys....

How complicated is the install, with all the cool stuff ths one can do, it sounds like a lot more wiring than a standard kit .. .

Also does it have a purge kit ? Or are purge kits pretty universal? I would love a red LED Purge

I have a change to pick up the kit for 550 shipped brand new, so does this seem like a good choice

The VCN-2000 is completey computer programmable with different operational modes. You can choose what size shot from 0 - 180 without having to change nozzles. You pick at what RPM you want it to activate and what throttle position to activate. You can also pick how long it sprays, etc.

Wiring: On the 1000 I'll have to guess (bases on the 2000 that I wired). Should be 1 wire to the O2 Sensor, 1 wire to each fuel injector, 1 wire to the TPS, a power wire and probably a ground or two.

The 2000 will also have a wire that goes to the ignition coil as well as wires for the solnoid box. The 1000 doesn't have these.

Then obviously you have to mount the bottle, run the nitrous line, and mount the nozzle.

Purge kits are universal and do not come with the system.

yeah, the 1000 has a wire to the oxygen sensor, one for each injector, one to the solenoid, and one to the battery, and a ground on the solenoid and on the brain box, and the switch panel pluged into the brain. my friend has a 1000 kit, it was a real easy install

Well, I would say there is more to do, but it's not hard.
