I think its usually Timing Retarded

just wondering if calling for a death wish or if it will be ok.

I probably would return the timing to stock or retard it a couple degrees and put some colder plugs in.im not really familiar with nitrous though, know some but not alot

4 degrees advanced seems like a lot, 4 degrees pulled is the usual for a 100-125 shot. But then again I don't know man because a 35 shot really isn't all that much. Are you running it 4* advanced n/a?

^^^ yep, thats what its SET at anyways. its 28 degrees advanced total for n/a.

and for the record, ngk tr6 plugs are installed and i run nothing but premium gas.

as long as the A/F ratios stay in check you'll be fine with a 35shot.

There is only one way to be sure, try it while logging it and look for knock.

see me tomorrow and I'd be glad to explain why timing is retarded with n2o. its not just about detonation.

you would more than likely be ok running a 35-50 shot as long as you use race gas or at least 95 oct.

I suppose you'd also reccomment pulling timing under boost as well then huh?

generally the old school thing is to retard 1 degree for every 25 shot

Well I can tell you that I do plan on advancing my timing with quite a bit of nitrous. I'm going to do with 110 race gas and go one degree at a time and see if and when I detect any knock. I just need to get my wideband first

Bingo. I have 27 degrees of advance on an eco w/ 23psi out of a 60 trim and 10:1 compression. The nifty thing that makes this all possible...110. I will also be adding a lil bit of juice to it by the end of the year and hopefully it'll be lots of fun. Post pics of the motor when I blow the thing sky high .

definitely needed! the m45 gets so ungodly hot. although.. id love to feel the casing after a nice spray of nitrous through it

on a 95* day, with water injection (strait water, cooled faster) i would hit 75* intake air temps with in 4 seconds of hitting boost..

works great, and is a MUST for a Eaton.

N2O didn't seem to cool it down more.. but the case.. would get condensation on it.
