Alright so i just joined this forum today i have a 2000 s10 with a 2200 motor in it. I know this websites for j-bodys but it is full of useful information that many s10 sites are lacking. My question is what size nitrous shot are you running on your stock 2.2's??? i was going to run a 75 shot maximum but after some searching around and reading ive read people are running a smuch as a 100 shot with out any major modifications is it safe? what do you guys recommend?
-Tom
I've been running a 75 shot safe for 2 years now. Wet kit, i don't reccomend going above that. It really does feel as if the motor is being pushed to it's max when i do spray.
how often do you spray and what else do you have done to add added safety?
Read my sig...
I had a wet kit, 75 shot for two years also... Just make sure you use some colder spark plugs!!!
99 cavy 2200 AUTO 14.884 @ 93.88 mph w/ a 1.920 60ft.
Civics are like tampons every pussy has one!
98 Neon R/T 15.2 @ 91mph W/a 2.4 60ft I HAVE i,h,e
see what next yr brings...
Damn Cal, i have went once to the strip, could be the problem, but i'm 5 speed and my fastest was a 15.0. You got anything else done to the motor? Tom i spray my car more often than i should lol, just make sure to check your fuel pressure reguarly, and get some colder plugs and gap them properly.
Thanks for the replys. i have a wet kit hat has a (WOT switch) a rpm window switch and fuel pressure safety switch along with fuel pressure guage and colder plugs i should be good to go right?
Sounds like you are setup for success. You shouldn't have no worries at all. Just be prepared, it's more addicting than cocaine
sweet! did you retard the timing at all?
No I haven't retarded my timing. But if u do that just makes it even safer.
go with a 50 shot, thats safe 75 you might blow it, i did lol and im glad i did rebuild and now im on a 150 shot

. What is your build for a 150 shot? If u blew on a 75 something wasn't right, ur system must have had a hiccup. I know of 3 people that have been spraying 2200's for at least 2 years now. The 2200 bottom end is a lot stronger than people think. Just look at what kinda boost imphat was running on a stock bottom end.
i just picked up some 2 step colder ac delco plugs today what should i gap them at?
i have a 2200 the only thing i dont have it the motor is a cam, and on the gap i have mine to 24 and it runs good
Can't remember off the top of my head what the gap is, but i stuck with the suggested gap for the factory plugs. The parts store can tell you that gap. What number is the plugs you bought?
i picked up some ac delco frls2's or sumn like that there copper plugs and suppouse to be 2 heat ranges colder
Sounds good, they should work fine. On a side note, a 75 Shot on a 2200 owns a auto 4.6 mustang GT.
Had some fun last night.
sweet what year mustang? I beat my friend in a crown vic police interceptor with my 75 shot hehe. What does should i expect to run do you think with a 75shot and also what kit are you using
I ran a 15.0 in the 1/4th,but i was having traction issues the whole time. I know i got 14's in it easy. I'm using a Nytrex Kit. It's not a very popular kit but i loved the way the it was sit up. It's got all three valves on a small block so you can mount and hide it easy. It was a 2000 ish mustang.
niiiice, im trying to get my s10 to be in the low 15's...is your 75 shot at the flywheel hp or rwhp?
Spray is different on every vehicle, only real way to know how much it's exactly adding to your car is to dyno it. Spray adds more torque than anything.
AC's are gapped at .040 for platinum plugs and .060 for the copper core Rapid Fire plugs
Dont be a smarta$$...although it is better than being a dumba$$
Platinum Plugs + Spray= FAIL But good info either way!
do you think if i jet my truck for 75rwhp it will still be safe?
