I have a 2200 with a wet kit. I picked up the Tr6 NGK's what gap are you running? Are these good plugs for 35 shot? Do you need to run 93 octane when not using nitrous? Say for the whole winter, if so I'll put stockers back in? Thanks! Looked around saw mostly threads on eco's.
you only need to run higher octane fuel when you plan on spraying... and i'm sure you're probably not going to spray in the winter lol
i'm not sure what gap but i'm sure darkstars or someone of the like will inform you there
and if you don't plan on spraying anymore til next season... put the stockers back in and run reg 87 octane fuel
just go with Autolite #103's gapped to the stock gap (thats what I did on my eco) those plugs, NX wet kit, and premium gas is all I jhave for the nitrous setup. #103's with premium is enough for a 35 shot
The TR6s come pre-gapped at .038. I would leave them at .038, or maybe go a little smaller.
I am usint the NGK 7 Racing plugs in my turbo 2200. The 7's are alot shorter than the TR6s.

.038 believe thats why mine are gapped to, I didn't know if the eco was different so I didn't wana throw out nubers and have them be wrong
my tr6's came at .036 but i put them to .038
but might be my gapping tool sucks

how are the 2200's holding up to the spray?
My 2200 blew the minute I CONTEMPLATED flicking the switch!!!

Sprayed the motor with a 40 shot all summer long...mad fun, no problems whatsoever.
I just gapped my 4177's to stock specs. Unless you're doing a huge shot, I'd reccommend the same.

with a 40-50 shot what kind of upgrades are really needed?
cool, thats about what i expected.
Nothing is needed for up to a 60 shot (ask NOS tech yourself) but certain mods are suggested for optimum performance (ie. hotter spark, free-flowing exhaust, etc.)
About a year ago I posted of a friend who put a 100 shot on his 2.2 s-10. He sprayed three times including once doing a burnout and only managed to burn up the #1 spark plug I believe. When we tore the motor down it was still in great shape, minus the fouled plug. The stock clutch was burnt up as well. Also the motor only had only 40,000 miles on it I believe. He was trying to see how much the 2.2 would take before it blew.
In my cav I was running the TR6's left at the original gap which I think like Adler said was pre-gapped at .038
Actually, with the spark, its the other way around. You want colder plugs with nitrous, not hotter ones. Hotter ones cause detonation.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
I mis-spoke:
What I meant is that you want a more powerful ignition system so you can burn all the nitrous/fuel mixture that you're running through the engine. Basically, you're using more of it and wasting less.
Are there some other mods that would compliment spraying other than spark, ignition, and free flowing exhaust?
Mine has held up too. I ran a 50 shot all summer and 5 times at the Bash. No fouled plugs or damage on my 2200. I am thinking about going with a 75 shot this coming spring when the track opens back up.
2200cavy18 where did you tap the fuel for the 2200?
eventually i will get a wet kit and i havent found an answer on the 2200 only eco. And does anybody know of a 2200 with direct port? if so any pics? Thanks
Look for my post about 1/4 the way down titled (NEED HELP QUICK)
