im running a 50 shot now ive done the head p and p , shaved it , intake, t/b, exhaust full,so will it hold a 75 shot or higher ?
will the 2.2l roller rockers for the 95-97 fit the 2200 engine also? can anybody answer that?
A 2200 can run a 75 shot as long as you got the colder plugs and ingition depend`s most the time it is saver to go with a msd ignition to be safe i have heard of 2200 running 100 shoots and haveing no problems with what you got done to run a 75 + i would recomend just getting a new ignition
what about the 95-97 2.2? is colder plugs and ignition going to be good enough?
when you say msd ign do you mean the dis2 ? and will this let me retard the timing or just boost the spark?
benn running anything from 75 to 150 DRY the 150 leaned out alot so i cut down to 100 and ran fine no problems im at a 75 just to be on the safe side
Yes but i would only run a 50 shoot with out doing more prep work maybe a 75 you will still have to retard the timeing though well your proble going to have to do it anyway.

It will boost the spark.
what mods do you have that makes you able to run 100-150 ? dry im a little scepticle about that did you boost your fuel system ,adj . fpr , inline pump ? AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN A GIRLS CAR !
Jamesn29 - to be honest i ran a 100 shoot 1 time really its not that much more of a boost then a 75 i am at 75 to be safe if i where you i would just stick with a 75 with 100 shoot your at more of a risk of blowing your motor even with the work you got done well then again it`s a risk you got to take when running nitrous you never know if your motors going to just die on you one race to a next just like i said i would stay witha 75 its not really worth giong up toa 100 like i said i ran a 100 shoot 1 or 2 time`s both time`s i really didnt notice the difrence from the 75 to the 100 in my time`s at the track
PaCavalier
actually i was just young and stupid all i had on the car at that time was my safc ill run a 100 all day long but like i said just to be safe i stay with the 75 plus pistons are expensive and yes the 150 leaned out like a mofo in 3rd for some reason but i caught it and didnt do any damage (i think) oh yeah thats my favorite qoute im always getting dude thats a girls car i think its funny actually i read that 92% of all cavalier owners are female but oh well im secure w/ my manhood

There is no such thing as in running safe with a 50, 75, 100 etc shot. All cars are differently driven thoughout time. With my 2200 I went through a whole bottle with a 75 shot. I had 3 stages colder plugs, higher octane fuel, and slightly bigger injectors and always had the bottle heater on. Some cars may be able to handle it some may not.....
I have 2200 in my 00Cav and I am running100shot I have had no problems
ask smokey i gave him a new respect for the 2200 the other night on the 75 shot lol
now we're getting ready to boost it (yay) im trying to get him to get his cavvy down here
instead of buying a 5.slow cause there are no cavvys in the area

So to run 75 shot you will need colder plugs and msd ignition ... is that it? How much is that running people around here? For the nitrous, cold plugs, and msd ignition? What type of cold plugs are people using? Thanks everyone!
Its not what you got ... its what you do with it! (TUA)

From looking at your mod list, it looks like you have stock injectors. I bet the reason why you ran lean with the 150 shot is because you maxed out the injectors with the dry kit. Either you maxed out the injectors or you maxed out the fuel pump.

msd ignition, colder plugs, at least 103 octane gas! that is what i used when i was spraying a 100 shot and my car ran fine!!
ryan
on the 2200...
are the tr6 plugs cold enough for the 75 shot?
how are you all making a wet kit work on the 2200 intermediate fuel line(no schrader valve)
do i HAVE to get the msd dis2? if so how much is it?
thanks,
ryan
Does anyone think the factory would be able to tell you installed a kit on a eco motor?

Nozzle with a fuel and nitrous line sticking out of your intake? Solenoids marked by which say NOS, Edelbrock,NX, etc? Fuel line spliced and running to the solenoid? If I saw that I would think you were running nitrous! But then again GM mechanics are getting more retarded every year now! So who knows

I think he means that if something happens and then you take it off would they know??

I ran a 75 all day long on my 2200.... but I also had a larger fuel pump, and MSD.... which helps a ton

95-97 rollers do not fit on 98-00 2200, at least thats what rsm say's.
the rollers from 95-97 do not work on 2200, but the cam does
, in the earlier 2.2's they used a more aggressive cam profile, with less aggressive rollers, in the 2200 the used a less aggressive cam and more addressive rollers

use a aftermarket intake, take the shrader valve out and tap the fuel there and if you need to take the car in for work just replace the shrader valve put the stock intake back on and flush your oil and put new oil in and it would be really hard to tell you ever used nitrous
What shot is the Venom VCN-2000 Computerized Nitrous System. i have stock stock number give me the part number to jegs or summit i want plugs, wires, and ignition upgrade and and intake
