OK, I got a NOS kit and the fuel and Nitrous Solenoids are different part numbers. Are they really different or is this some sort of marketing thing? I need a new fuel solenoid but I was thinking about just using my purge solenoid till I get one, would this be ok? Is it alright to mix between powershot and cheater solenoids? Whats the real deal here? thanks
Scott
PS. For any of you hosers that wanna bitch that I should search, I did, and didn't come up with anything
The different solenoids are different sizes because they need to handle different pressures. The N2O solenoid is usually the largest since it needs to hold back like 1600 PSI, the Fuel is next smallest because it only needs to hold back a max of like 150 PSI. The Purge solenoid doesn't hold much pressure at all, but I think its about the same size as the Fuel solenoid.

Plus the fuel solenoid doesn't use teflon seats.

see, what i figured is that I would still use my NOS solenoid and just add the other one and have a backup system. If the fuel one sticks open thats not that big of a deal. Whats goin to happen? It flood the system? No biggie. How about using cheater fuel solenoids? Its so hard to find the power shot ones for a good price.
