Hello, I just put a Premeir Pioneer deck in & hooked up the XM radio, just got it home & noticed that my odometer don't light up anymore? Even when you turn the lights on, the guages all light up but the odometer dont? Does anyone know what would cause this?

try hitting the dash with your hand see if that does the trick
I did try hitting on it, do you think that by taking the dash apart & fiddling around that the bulb might have blew out?? Does anyone know what kind of bulb it uses or how to get to it?

my wife's car did the same thing...but hitting the top of the dash did the trick. now everything works fine.
I just called up the dealership & they said that there isn't a bulb in there, but you will have to buy a new cluster!!! I am going to have the guy that put the radio in it take another look at it again!

I just got a sony deck put in by Circuit City. Everything looked fine after the install. Next day my wife calls me up to tell me the odometer light is off. When she came back I did what everyone else did.....SMACK. The light came back on. Took the car back to Circuit City and gave the guys there a hard time. They kindly took the dash apart in front of me and we checked the connections. The odometer bulb is not serviceable. Thanks GM! Now I have to drive arounded wondering if this stupid light will go off if I hit a hard bump. Buy a whole new instrument cluster for on stupid hard-wired bulb??? Does not seem fair. Has anyone seen how much they go for?? Does not seem like a viable option. Should be a recall - GM should pay for this!!!
