Alright me and my friends have spent the last 5 hours installing 2 infinity 12"s with a rockford 1200 watt amp in my 03 cavalier. I dont have the aftermarket cd player so i went and bought the RCA line outlet converter, I hooked everything up spliced the wires and ran everything correctly, i think. So i turn on the cd and sound is going to the subs but they are not hitting hard at all....I dont know wtf is going on. Any help will be appreciated! thanks------
are the speakers plugged in right polarity wise positive to positive and so forth? is the amp adjusted as well?

I thought i might have flipped the positives and negatives on accident so i went back and changed them and they sound the same. And about the amp being adjusted i dont know, how would i do that.
did you make sure when you put the subs in the box you didnt accidently pull one of the wires out of the sub, cause that sounds like what happened, pull the subs and check the wires going into them
your LLC should have a type of gain adjustment on it as well..try messing with that.

you have to adjust the amp levels.

Like Wysiwig said, there should be voltage adjustments for the LLC. Make sure to adjust your gain to compensate for the voltage - higher voltage on the LLC, less gain.

check the Line convertor for voltages like the other guys said. also check for a cross over frequency selector on the line convertor as well. some line convertors are sold, but are actually a sub crossover. this will work, but there is a selectable frequency on it.
should show like 40HZ, 80HZ, and like 120HZ. select 120.
if that doesnt work, try disconecting your rear speakers (that should have been where you installed the line converotr) maybe they are stealing too much voltage. check the fade/balance on the stock deck. these functions should be centered.
if your line convertor is installed off of the rear speakers and your fade is turened up to the front, you will have no to little voltage signal going to the rears and more to the front, causing this problem.
hope that helps.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
