Remote Starter, running lights, question
Saturday, January 21, 2006 6:39 PM
Well, I hooked up my remote starter today... everything works excellently, except for one thing - I hooked up the starter to turn on the parking lights when it starts and flash when you lock/unlock the power doors (which I haven't put in yet), but the lights don't come on. I hooked the starter wire into the small brown wire coming off of the turn signal stalk (like it says in the directions) and it doesn't work.

So, what could be wrong? Is that the correct wire to hook it to, or is there another? Do you have to wire it in somewhere else? I just can't figure it out. It's not a real big deal, but I still want it to work.

Thanks for any help

yes it is brown.. make sure your autostart has a positive output going to the cars brown parking light wire.. some autostarts are set negative out and have an oboard jumper on them or a relay maybe need if autostart has a negative output. good luck.. the wire is at the switch or can be found low in drivers kick panel.. hope this helps some..
